Monday, August 11th, is our Welcome to 92.5 Orientation for New Families to WPS and Bus Orientation from 5:00 - 6:30 PM at Westchester Primary School, 2400 Downing Avenue, in the cafeteria. At this event, we will discuss strategies for a strong home/school connection to ensure your child’s success at WPS and familiarize students who may be utilizing our district transportation. A parent or guardian must accompany students to this event. Bus transportation to and from the orientation session will be provided to you and your student from the school nearest your home.  Parents/Guardians and children of WPS who are not yet signed up for the bus can still participate. If you attend the event and are not taking bus transportation to WPS, please enter through Door 5, located at the back of the school near the playground off Fleet Street, and use the parking lot on Fleet Street.

Listed below are pick-up times and locations:

• Westchester Middle School, 1620 Norfolk, with a 4:40 p.m. pick-up. Meet at door 8 by the parking lot
• Britten School, 10110 Gladstone, with a 4:40 p.m. pick-up. Meet at the corner of Gladstone & Newcastle
• Westchester Intermediate, 10900 Canterbury, with a 4:40 p.m. pick-up.  Meet at Door 1, located in front of the building.  

   
More extensive safety education programs will be done when your child starts school.  However, it is extremely important that your child has the opportunity to ride the bus and learn some general safety rules before they start school.
