Westchester Middle School invites you to our annual Family Science Night.  This year our theme is Lost In Space: Astronomy!  Bring your family for a fun filled evening of science experiments, learn about space in the Star Lab, and play a game of Astronomy themed Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.  Want to learn more about light?  Come visit the optics room.  Mark your calendars, Family Science Night will be held at Westchester Middle School on Thursday March 1st from 6-8 pm.

Sports Physical forms for the Spring are due tomorrow January 11^th for Girls Volleyball, Boys Volleyball, Girls Softball, and Spring Intramurals.  Please have those forms into the office by 4 pm.

 

January 21^st is the due date for the 2^nd payment for the Washington DC trip.  This is the final opportunity for those parents who have not made a commitment to this year’s trip to make their payment.

 

Please support the PTO by ordering Market Day.  Orders will be accepted thru Wednesday, January 11^th at marketday.com.  Please use order #1331 when ordering.  Pick-up is on Saturday, January 14^th from 10-10:30 AM.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2012-2013 school year will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012.  Please read the attached for more information

All sports physicals for spring sports are due Wednesday, January 11, 2012.  There will be no extentions to this day.

Washington D.C. payment information forms are being sent home with all 8th graders today.  This information shows how much each student owes after calculating fundraising totals.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tansor at 708-450-2735 ext. 638.

Westchester Warriors December Newsletter

The computer lab is having an Inkjet Cartridge, Toner and Cell Phone Drive during the month of December. Please bring in your used cell phones, inkjets and/or toner cartridges from your home or workplace during the month of November. These items will then be recycled through the FundingFactory to raise funds for our technology department. More information and a full list of qualifying recyclables can be found on the FundingFactory website at

Only qualifying items will be counted.

Place your donations in a bag or box, label them with your name and drop them off to the office, hand them in to your first period teacher or to the computer lab. FundingFactory does not need the cell phone memory cards, chargers or peripherals.

The one faculty member and the one student who brings in the most items combined (cell phones, inkjets, toners) by December 21st will receive a MicroCenter 2GB flash drive from Ms. Kuhn.
