Dear Parents:

Welcome to the 2008-2009 school year! We are pleased to welcome new students, families and staff to our school community, and we look forward to working in partnership to provide another outstanding school year for the students we serve.

Your input will be encouraged in the development of a new Strategic Plan this year. This Strategic Plan will provide direction and specific goals in the areas of student achievement, preparation of our students for the workforce, facility improvements, and financial responsiblities for the next five to seven years. Please watch for further information on our Strategic Planning process.

The Board of Education and staff remain dedicated to "Excellence in Education." We continue to refine our curriculum based on State Standards and our learning opportunities for all students. We believe you will be very pleased with our commitment to quality education.

District 92½ continues its commitment to the use of technology to enhance learning. We hope you will visit our District 92½ and school web pages often during the school year to see what's happening in our schools. The sites provide valuable information and student learning resources. They display student work and provide easy access to e-mail our staff.

The Parent-Teacher Organizations at each school and our Band Parents Association provide excellent support for learning in District 92½. We look forward to continued, positive relationships with our support organizations at the elementary and middle school levels. Our continued partnership helps to provide many learning programs and extra activities that enrich our students' school experiences. Please join and actively participate in supporting our school programs and our students.
