Introducing Kakuro, a logic puzzle and the newest puzzle craze from Japan! Kakuro is Sudoku's bigger (and harder) brother. It is sometimes referred to as the mathmatical translation of the crossword.  I can't imagine in my wildest dreams doing either sudoku or kakuro.

Self Awareness Webquest

This research projects leads higher level students on a webquest of self-identity for grades 6-8. This project uses various research sites such as Myer-Briggs Personality Test and Learning Styles.  Thoughtful and introspective, this project leads students to a better awareness of themselves as talented.

Student centered and inquiry based, a WebQuest challenges students to explore the web for information and it is an excellent way to integrate the Internet into the classroom. WebQuests have an introduction, a process, a task, a list of resources, a conclusion, and an evaluation. There is one for almost every subject at this site, including Virtual Field Trips, Interdisciplinary and ELL.
