Our second grade class is writing a poetry book about the four seasons. We made a cover for our book in the computer lab to begin the project. As each season arrives, the children write a poem for that particular season. The poem for autumn contained one verse with a colorful leaf border. Our winter poems consist of two verses and seasonal pictures. Each additional poem will add another verse concluding with a summer poem of four verses and appropriate pictures. At the end of the year the children will take their poetry books home to share with their families.
